Cafe De Colombia Bakery is a bustling bakery and espresso bar tucked into the stretch of South Semoran Boulevard that serves Orlando’s Colombian and Latin American communities with a straightforward focus on familiar flavors and quick service. This spot feels less like a sit-down cafe and more like a grab-and-go local market for breakfast and snacks, where the emphasis leans heavily on authentic Colombian baked goods and savory bites.

The vibe here is functional rather than loungey—there’s no indoor seating, so most visitors come prepared to take their pastries and coffee to go. It’s the kind of place you’d drop by early in the day or mid-morning to pick up fresh empanadas, pan de bono, or a cafecito con buñuelo to fuel your morning. Local regulars often seem to appreciate the nostalgic connection to Colombian comfort foods, like the tender, cheese-filled Pan De Bono or the crispy, homemade-style Chicharrones de Cerdo on the savory end.

Coffee offerings are simple but dependable, including classics such as café con leche and cappuccino, making this a practical stop for those who want a strong, no-frills caffeine hit alongside their food. The atmosphere can feel a bit rushed and transactional, in part because of recent changes in management and staff, shifting the experience away from its former family-run warmth toward a more corporate, streamlined approach. This is noticeable in how service varies—some baristas are friendly and helpful, while others come across as less engaged.

Picking a visit time matters here; mornings before the late breakfast rush are best, as some popular items like arepas de choclo tend to sell out quickly. The bakery is known for maintaining fair pricing and quality that reflects traditional Colombian flavors rather than fancy twists, perfect for those craving a quick taste of home or simply exploring Colombian bakery classics. Because there’s no seating, it’s less ideal for lingering or a long coffee catch-up and better suited for customers who want to grab authentic pastries and head out.

Overall, Cafe De Colombia Bakery serves as a convenient touchpoint for those seeking straightforward Colombian-style breakfasts and baked treats in a no-nonsense setting. It draws in a mix of locals who value the connection to their culinary roots, families picking up weekend snacks, and visitors curious about classic items like empanadas, buñuelos, and natilla. For anyone driving through Orlando’s diverse neighborhoods, it offers a slice of Colombian bakery culture best enjoyed on the go.

The food is amazing. Their recent change in staff has been noted, unfortunately more in a negative way. The service and attitude is hit and miss, at best. Very few employees are very friendly and helpful. Others, on the other hand, are very arrogant and lack the desire to help customers. The change from small ownership to corporate ownership has been noticed. I've been coming to Cafe Colombia since 2008 and I typically make purchases over $50-$75, as I don't live close by and I freeze what I buy to make it last a while. I love the food, bread, and pastries.

The appearance and overall feel has changed. Not sure yet if it’s for the better. Big push on reward points now and asking to scan the different QR codes to leave reviews. It was 11am and they were out of arepas de choclo which was disappointing. The salsa (picante) for empanadas is now in a prepackaged fast food-style packaging that adds to the more commercial/chain feel this place was giving off today. Overall, the food quality appeared the same although they had never been out of arepas in all the years I’d been by. They seem to have done some rebranding. Service was great, friendly. Hope they don’t steer too far off from the homemade vibe they gave off for years previously.

All Cuban and Colombian cafés are great. Their family places so they’re allowed on the weekend but the quality is good and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a good place to go.

Great Colombian food, pastries, drinks and tamales Vallunos, BTW the tamales were amazing and only $8 it almost felt unreal, filled with quality meat and flavorful mass, definitely worth driving there for over 30 minutes drive. Their empanadas were great as well. Will go back whenever we are in this State.

Prices are really good! I got two empanadas and they were pretty decent, just wish they were a little crunchier. The place looks clean and organized. No tables though, it’s only for takeout.
